Davenport supports Where Cricket Meets...

21-Oct-2014

Davenport is here to help you create wealth through property investment.
We hold free, monthly Property Investment Seminars at the club, to help educate and inform anyone that’s interested in investing in property and finding out how they can get better returns from their savings or pension.

Attendees are always very complimentary of the venue, and we receive support from SCCC to promote our seminars via social media, which is greatly appreciated.
After many successful years as members of the Boundary Club (networking, beer and cricket – what’s not to love!), we decided to expand our presence at SCCC further by becoming corporate sponsors.

The 2014 season was fantastic for us as a business.  Not only have we had the chance to Sponsor a T20 game (plastering the ground with our banners!)  We have also sponsored some of Sussex’s’ most popular events – ‘Where Cricket Meets’.
Back in November 2013 we sponsored our first  ‘Where Cricket Meets… Beaujolais Nouveau’. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous 3-course meal and plenty of wine and we auctioned a stunning all-inclusive holiday, thanks to The Resort Group, to Cape Verde, raising a remarkable £2100 for the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity.
In July we sponsored ‘Where Cricket Meets Football with Matt Le Tissier. This was another very entertaining evening – with lots of laughs – again we auctioned a holiday and raised another £1500 for our chosen charity.

These evenings are great ways for us to enjoy ourselves as a business, promote the company, treat existing clients to a great meal and network with others that attend.
We have built a fantastic relationship with the club over the last few years, with Chris Mansfield, our MD recently becoming Legacy Officer for the Sussex Cricket Community Trust.
We are constantly looking at ways that we can continue to flourish at the club, and we cannot thank the commercial team enough for their support and enthusiasm to help us grow.
We will continue to work with the Club through the winter to plan how we market ourselves next year.

The next event we are sponsoring is ‘Where Cricket Meets… Beaujolais Nouveau’ (more wine) on November 20th.
We look forward to a prosperous 2015 Season, both on and off the field.

English’s and Sussex CCC unite to support Junior members

English’s of Brighton is delighted to announce the sponsorship of Sussex County Cricket Club’s Junior Membership for 2015. How appropriate that we’ve teamed up with Sussex for next season – oldest Brighton restaurant partners with oldest professional UK sports club!

English’s is also the south’s leading seafood restaurant and oyster bar and the only place in Brighton where you can taste the delights of four varieties of oysters, as well as many other delightful seafood dishes.

There are lots of exciting new products in the pipeline for Junior members, so it’s a great time to be associated with the Club and we’re looking forward in helping the club generate more interest in cricket, county wide.

We will also be putting together a special ‘Sharkz’ menu in the restaurant which will offer all members a twist on some of our most popular dishes, including our ever-popular fishcake. Members and their families will also receive discounted bills and the opportunity to try lobster and other interesting dishes when they visit – although Shark is definitely off the menu; Sid wouldn’t be happy!

Keep an eye out on our website and for further communications from both ourselves and the Club as we move towards next season.

Good ‘Old’ Sussex By The Sea has never been more apt for the pair of us!
