"Nuturing Youth Potential the Sussex Way"
Following on from last winters "Identifying Talent" Seminars and in support of the player pathway (below) the Sussex Cricket Board would like to invite you to attend one of our "Nurturing Youth Potential" workshops.
The workshop is a result of extensive consultation/partnership working with recreational cricket clubs, the SCCC professional department and Dr. James Wallis (Principal Lecturer of Sport and Service Management at University of Brighton) and will be part theory, part practical. The desired outcome is aimed at providing your coaches with the necessary insight to help you broaden the base of your Junior Membership by delivering quality coaching sessions that help develop youngsters cognitive, emotional and physical attributes as well as technical cricket skills.
The dates and times of the workshops are as follows –
North - March 16 - Sackville School, East Grinstead - 18:00 to 21:00
South - April 1 - Falmer Sports Hall, Brighton Uni - 18:00 to 21:00
West - April 2 - Littlehampton Academy – 18:00 to 21:00
East - April 11 - Sports Hall, Eastbourne Uni - 10:00 to 13:00

Sussex County Cricket Club organises a comprehensive Player Development Programme through cricket coaching and cricket training to support talented players to develop their skills and to eventually become full time professionals. There is a clear Player Pathway for both boys and girls, which shows how a talented club player can further their game through being selected for Area, District or County Junior Cricket.
