Are you a Sunday picnic and papers type of person who enjoys the calmer pace of life, or are you the Friday night, bright city lights type who prefers life in the fast lane? Well, whatever you enjoy doing on those days, you’ll be pleased to know that from next season, you can enjoy doing it whilst watching first class cricket action at The BrightonandHoveJobs County Ground.
Next year, all seven Twenty20 home group cricket games will be played on Friday nights at Hove starting in mid-May. If you like white knuckle, high-octane cricket under lights, then this is your thing. Watch The Sharks bash balls to all corners of the ground and get warmed up for your Friday night out at the same time.
LV= County Championship games will all start on a Sunday, so you can take a leisurely stroll up to Hove mid-morning, enjoy coffee and cake at our onsite Café Pasticci, then settle down for a day of first class cricket action. Idyllic.
If your attention span is longer than t20 but shorter than LV= CC, then 50 over cricket is your game! From next season, YB40 becomes YB50 and matches start in mid-July, the change in format to this form of the game is so it can mirror the one-day game the national team play.
With the fixtures due out next month and the Ashes also starting soon, now is the time to start planning your cricket days and nights out again and reserving your place for next season at Hove by signing up for 2014 membership.
