The Workplace ‘B’ashes is taking place at The BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground this Wednesday August 21st. It’s a great opportunity for businesses to get onto the hallowed turf and Bash some cricket balls around at the home of Sussex County Cricket Club. No cricketing experience is necessary – but there will be a special prize for the winners! 1839 will be joining us from 4pm onwards with one of their famous BBQs.
With the line-up for the Workplace ‘B’ashes taking shape, EMC’s Managing Director Nik Askaroff has run the rule over the businesses signed up to take part on Wednesday (21st August).
Nik said: “EMC cannot wait to lock horns with the opposition on Wednesday. While I wouldn’t want to underestimate the other business in the competition, my team have been watching the cricket this summer whilst enjoying the terrific corporate hospitality from 1839 at Hove, and all look in great shape to do battle.
“I hear that Gary Peters and BrightonandHoveJobs.com are very hopeful, as are a team from Brighton & Hove Albion, but I’m quietly confident that my colleagues will turn in performances that will secure the inaugural ‘B’ashes!
“On a more realistic note, this is going to be a lot of fun and I am convinced that this will be an event that will grow and become one that many businesses put in their diary for the year ahead. Sussex County Cricket Club has worked really hard and invested a considerable amount of money to turn the County Ground into a really attractive and welcoming venue for corporate supporters, as well as the faithful fans and members who sit in the stands and the famous deckchairs.”
In addition to EMC, BrightonandHoveJobs.com and Brighton & Hove Albion, the other businesses confirmed so far include Santander, Fireco and Platinum Lace.
Nik added: “I know it is very late notice but if any businesses fancy an eleventh hour entry into the Workplace ‘B’ashes they should contact the club on 01273 827115 today. It is free to enter and I know there are a couple of places still up for grabs.”
