Correct. The player involved was Azeem Rafiq - the lad who got into trouble for a misdemeanour with facebook last year.
The difference between the two cases is that at the time Rafiq did not hold a UK passport, so was an unauthorised overseas player, whereas Hussy was properly qualified and it was just a paperwork cock-up.

]]>]]>I think the problem with SL players is the internationals usually are otherwise occupied during our summer. We signed Sangakarra last year and then a one day series was organised with India on top of the Asia Cup, so he never turned up.
Maharoof is not in the national side at the moment so that should not be a problem, Matthews and Perera considered above him in the all rounder stakes.
But yes in these austerity times counties would do well to look at players just outside the international sphere who are nonetheless very fine players.
