Re: Messageboard Jolly

Hi Guys,

I'm hoping I'll be able to make it for one day as a "day visitor". Don't know which and I'm unlikely to be able to commit until the last minute (staffing problems!).

Put me down as a "maybe" who doesn't need accomodation.......

Re: Messageboard Jolly

Looking in my diary I see a game aganst Surrey at a location to be decided in August.I might be in London then and able to make two days of that game.Anybody know who and when they decide where to play it? Should I e-mail Goose for a ticket?

Thanks Sharkey.

Whats the ground like ? near the station? would have much prefered the Hoval again

Re: Messageboard Jolly

Walk towards the town from Guildford station, cross over the river, then turn left. Just keep going and you'll reach the ground on your left. Maybe 10=12 mins walking from the station.

Thanks...I will print a google map too.I am at meetings in London for days 2 and 3 and reconned I could get to the Oval for days ! and 4..however the logistics from Trinidad may defeat me.

Lets just concentrate on May in Northampton...once I can confirm that I can worry about how to get there etc.Especially difficult having declined a lift from Gatwick in the sweatmobile. As wherever I am I will be hotel bound I may attempt Northampton from the night before to be sure I am there for the 11 am rain.

Re: Messageboard Jolly

HC and I were talking about this last night - we really need some definite comfirmation by easter Monday please - so please do whats necessary soon to confirm or otherwise

Re: Messageboard Jolly

Easter Monday I will confirm ..although perhaps April 1 (all fools day) would have been better.I will then firm my flights and try to work out an itinerary for the expedition. I know you guys will help me with logistics and will tell me where to go ,how to get tickets, how to buy curry etc. Will we meet at Hotel to leave stuff or ther ground...These needs to be planned as well as the Gallipoli campaign

Re: Messageboard Jolly

Thanks TC, April 5th will be fine for comfirmation date.
We generally go straight to the hotel and park up, then get cabs to the ground for the 1st days play.

Could SILASGREENBACK,STAFFORD CHRIS +PANTHER(JOHN)please confirm by that date if they are still with us for the trip and requiring rooms for all 3 nights.

Re: Messageboard Jolly

I am still in and will be stopping all three nights

The Sherpa

Re: Messageboard Jolly

Thanks Chris, will post details nearer the date.

Re: Messageboard Jolly

I think I'm going to be out of the country on business, so count me out. If that changes I will make my own arrangements.

Re: Messageboard Jolly

OK cheers Silas

Re: Messageboard Jolly

Hi, would someone be able to tell me please which hotel you used when stopping in Worcester.

Although I live not far from Worcester the public transport between there and Birmingham is horrendous. The last bus and train leave soon after 10pm, so I am looking for a possible landing point, if things go wrong anytime I am down there thanks.

Re: Messageboard Jolly

weve always used the travelodge there, lofty - not everyones cup of tea but cheap and cheerful

Re: Messageboard Jolly

Sweaty

I've just sent you a private message about our jolly.

Run Outs?  When I was at school (in the Dark Ages!), the only offence more criminal was fielding the ball with one's foot which warranted an even sounder thrashing!
