What about abusive comments about the Director of Cricket made by Directors of Cricket from other counties and published in national cricket magazines. Will these be tolerated?

Also there are a lot of people willing to insult you if you have trouble with your grammar, in fact there are two particular members who have felt the need to bring it up ever since I first put a message on here, imagine making your first message and posting it and instead of being welcomed you get told " we don't get very many people who talk gibberish here "

This is not on.

The messageboard should be welcoming and respectful and inclusive.

Edit: Forget it, I can't be bothered.

From 2014 I have doubts that being a Sussex fan will continue to be the best sporting pleasure on the planet.

Seconded.

God gives all men all earth to love,
But since man’s heart is small,
Ordains for each one spot shall prove
Beloved over all.
Each to his choice, and I rejoice
The lot has fallen to me
In a fair ground—in a fair ground—
Yea, Sussex by the sea!

Wolfie wants to know if Leninists are welcome here too. neutral

Re: Obscene, threatening and personally abusive posts ...

I fully accept this but it is good to see that people who come on this board are passionate about their cricket and that, at times, has a tendency to express itself in language of despair.

I am watching the game on Sky and am screaming at the TV because of Joyce and Goodwin. I fail to understand in a game of risk why each player is defending. Oh good Joyce is out. Prior understands the intention of the game, which was to inject some excitement into the game of cricket. When I watch a four day mentality being applied to a quick form of the game, I'm incensed!

Re: Obscene, threatening and personally abusive posts ...

Hi fellow cricket fans. Long time since I've been on here(not since last season). At least I can get onto a fans message board. Kent's one was unceremoniously shut down without any notice on Thursday. No reason given by the club. General concesus was because of lots of critical comments about life in general as a long suffering supporters!
Thankfully I have not been to see much cricket due to spiralling costs of membership. So hopefully it has not been anything I've said on it(Fans forum).
Have taken out membership late in the season.  Was hoping to come to Horsham(one of my favourite grounds), but Kent are playing Lancs then, but more importantly we will be on holiday. Will get down to Hove this year for Glamorgan game!
Best wishes to all at Hove and good luck with T20 quarter finals and winning Div2.

Re: Obscene, threatening and personally abusive posts ...

Unfortunately snatcher Matthews has been forced to close a thread because of content. I note it now remains at the top of the players thread and I dont think its appropriate there.Or perhaps it is so that we can reflect on the need to be respectful to all on what is a public messageboard. Many messageboards go awry as posters hide behind anonymity to make their posts. On this board most posters are known to the others and this helps a great deal. There are few public spats and let us cherish this freedom. No this is not an inner circle, simply the result of meeting at cricket matches.

After an appropriate period for reflection on the intervention of a referee after many years of self policing (and the administrator has better things to do) can we remove that offending thread?

Re: Obscene, threatening and personally abusive posts ...

if i make enough meaningless posts about up and coming sussex players
or even ask a serious question about Dwayne it will soon disappear out of sight!
(i agree deleting would be easier though!)

Mercedes Benz Headlight

Hi. I've been taking the Mirafit religiously since I received it but I don't know whether it's doing anything or not. The only thing I feel is gassy and constipated. Do I need to take it longer to get results? Of course, I just got off some medications that could have been causing the other things too. I will continue to take it just because it has such good reviews. I guess I'll know if it's working when I weigh in next week.
