Well a thorioughly successful jolly this year, despite the result and Northampton not being the plushest of towns. Stafford (Sherpah) Chris and Panther John and of course TC, who had no sofa to hide behind were very welcome additions to the usual motley crew. We found some nice places to eat, although the Italian was a little strange, and the hotel was excellent, offering a huge breakfast each day, and was great value. Thanks to Chris for organising it

Yes it was a good few days despite Sussex's rather poor performance. 

Nice to have met TC,Sherpa and John for the first time. Hopefully we will see you at Hove sometime.

A very enjoyable debut for myself. It was really good to meet the Messageboard regulars who were most welcoming & lived up to all my expectations!

I would thoroughly recommend future Jolly's to any potential 'newbies'. Let's hope we can sort another one out for the last match at Worcester & we have something to celebrate.

Just a note from TC to say thanks to you all for making it a super jolly.What a well balanced bunch we are and a great time was had by all despite the result and the Brazilian steakhouse incident.Thanks too to Halisham Chris for dropping me to Gatwick airport and keeping an eye on Woodies rather suspect driving.

Northampton was very suitable for a jolly and judging from the way we played we will have more opportunities to visit again.

The highlight for me (apart from the Brazilian steakhouse and eating an entire pig farm for brealkfast) was the induction into the inner circle for myself Panther and Sherpa Chris(formerly Staffordshire Chris). Being part of the inner circle I was present when the momentous decision was made to open a new section for Bognor Regis and I am pleased to see it was implementeda already.

A big thank you to Robbo for taking the time to visit and for his patience in listing to our views on all subjects. We all agreed we had no idea how we lost and it shouldnt have happened.Deja vu all over again.

Just to say thank you to Hailsam Chris for his organisation and the club for their assistance. The hotel was welcoming and wow what a breakfast!!

Nice to meet Sherpah Chris and Panther John for the first time and hopefully not the last. Also good to meet up again with Allicat and Mr Allicatt. Also glad that DC (sorry TC now) made it all the way from Port of Spain, Trinidad to Northampton - some dedication to Sussex cricket.

I would just like to add my thanks to Hailsham Chris for the organisation. A splendid few days. Some great company and an interesting game of cricket - even if the result went the wrong way. Thanks lads for making us newbies welcome.

Already booked the time off for Worcester so hope to meet up again there if not before.

I would echo Panther's recommendation form others to join in.
