The programme makers caught up with one particularly unpleasant individual (a bloke needless to say) who liked trolling the internet and putting up sick comments on tribute pages to give him a perverse thrill.

I would like to see him charged and jailed for a long time to set an example to other miscreants that such vile, cowardly behaviour will not be tolerated.

There's a difference between playing and watching.

Although I've enjoyed watching and playing many sports over the years I've never liked golf nor rugby league.

If you had to pick a World XI, Matt Prior is the only England player who would be an automatic shoo-in.

There would be others but only after deliberation.

Is being floated although I won't be buying shares, probably not a good investment.

I've never joined this social medium, I think it's base should be students and young women who like putting photos and boring people with how they've spent their day. Oh yes, and getting up silly petitions. Personally if a middle aged bloke has enrolled, he's got to be a right saddo.

And what about this cyber bullying? I saw on Breakfast News (wasn't watching the Test) about some bullied girl who joined facebook to escape the taunts, and guess what? Yes, she received the taunts through cyber space. Surely if these kids are getting cyber bullied, can't they put blocks on their facebook page or just stop logging on? Can't be that difficult, can it?

PS Don't forget Panorama tonight.

ok i admit it´s already interesting, 71-1,Strauss gone early but only after he was dropped by Akmal (a sitter) and now Cook is dropped (missed?) by Gul at backward square leg

David Lloyd took about 5 minutes to realise that Gul had dropped the ball while to everyone else watching on TV it must have been obvious immediately.

But very occasionally the year is left unscrambled.

When people send their videos to YBF why and there's a date in the corner, why are the day and month shown but the year is blocked out?

Seems a bit anal.

And don't you just hate it when a couple get married in church and out of all the hymns they could choose it comes down to Jerusalem and I vow to thee my country  neutral

I asked my misses if she knew which county Panasar played for and she replied "Essex." I said (sarcastically) "Sussex" to which she retorted....

These b******s have left me destitute.

I came back from the gym and we were 14-0 with only 147 to get, and bet my house on us winning with odds of 1-10... and we lost.

Now I'm going to be homeless and in debt.

I don't know where my next meal is coming from.

"It can’t be repeated too often: when you give to good causes, you are making a moral choice. When the government takes an equivalent sum from you in taxation and spends it on your behalf, you are not. This is not to say that all taxation is wrong: some things need to be paid for collectively. But the argument for state involvement is a practical, not an ethical, one."

Nice to see 94 overs bowled within the 6 hour playing period, including 31 in the first session on the first day. When did that last happen?

I am sorry but the whole notion of humankind being divided into separate "races" is completely bogus, that was my point.

How do you describe a person who has a black father and a white mother?

Very lucky. big_smile

I would describe them in the same way as anybody else, by their name, by what they believe in, and by what they try and do with their life. A discussion of their parentage might be relevant occasionally e.g. hypothetically "she has a Nigerian parent so she has an understanding of certain aspects of West African culture".

"Half-caste" is disgustingly perjorative. roll

But on these surveys or job application forms when you disclose ethnicity you can't really get round the term mixed race, if that's what you are. How else could you describe yourself in 2 words or less?

alas I think youre right Fawdy, but hope youre proven wrong - reality is the top players can raise their game in the very top matches, whereas Murray tends to go to pieces - hes still way better than anyone weve had since Fred Perry though

Unfortunately I haven't got Eurosport but I'll watch the semi on BBC.

I'm not sure it's a case that he can't raise his game but to date he isn't quite in the same league as Djokovic, Nadal and Federer and has been outclassed. Hopefully he has yet to peak.

The aforementioned 3 have recently had a stranglehold on the game with only Murray likely to displace any of them.

Not like it used to be in the Borg/McEnroe/Connors era when a less fancied player could sometimes win a major tournament.

Murray has effortlessly eased into the semi finals of the Aussie Open and will face Djokovic provided the Serb wins his quarter final.

This must be his best chance of winning a major ever and with Lendl as his new coach it may have given him that extra edge.

If he wins his semi, I think he'll go on to win the tournament.

Go On Andy.

As a f/t worker in public services doing a creditable job for low renumeration in London, it must irk you that an element of the taxes you pay go to subsidise "idle" DSS claimants who are living in accomodation and enjoying a lifestyle that many workers who earn more than £35,000 gross are not able to enjoy.

Here's hoping the legislation gets through the Lords?

"half-cast" misspelt as well.

This racism is totally unacceptable. Mixed race is the term you should be using.

Consider this reprimand as your first official warning.

Pete, before going to NZ for England's cricket tour in 2008, I was in Australia staying at Adelaide (saw the test match against India when Tendulka got a ton in a drawn match) and then Melbourne (there was a tri series one day competition with India and Sri Lanka).

It coincided with the historic apology to the Aborigines when their children were forcibly taken from them. I was in Federation Square with thousands of others to witness Kevin Rudd's speech on the big screen. You should have flown over for the occasion, we could have stood shoulder to shoulder.

I expect Croweater was also paying his public respects somewhere in Adelaide.

Not a great idea to have Tremlett batting above Anderson, since he's never done anything to justify it.
