Topic: the clock

Re: the clock

Well even though the batting is broken today at the Toilet Bowl, that little hic-cup yesterday has fixed the clock lol

Re: the clock

Well I hope he isn't waiting around outside Kings Cross Station otherwise he may become Teddie Bare

Re: the clock

Is that talking from experience or of your knowledge of being at the front end :?:

Re: the clock

It's a dangerous world out there HC.

12 and a bit years of wandering around Kings X, Euston and other such salubrious areas at all hours of the day and night have taught me a thing or two.

1) Never say yes under any circumstances to a girl with very few clothes on and nasty scabs around the face.

2) Never upset the extremely large minders standing just behind them.

3) Never carry cash.

4) Never misunderstand the question "Would you like a bit of business guv"

5) Always make sure your front end is kept under lock and key.

6) If one of the girls asks if she can buy a cigarette off you, never reply "It's ok deary I won't sell you one, I'll give you one though".

Here endeth the Railway protection code.

Re: the clock

Beeching had it right by the sound of it then

Re: the clock

Yes, The Bad Doctor Beeching, not to be confused with our The Good Doctor, certainly did the works with his chopper.

The "Ladies of the Night" should certainly be better presented come 14th November when our humble St Pancras becomes St Pancras International though. Window shopping only for those of us not having an affinity to penicillin, of course.

Croweater may know something about Kings Cross, I believe they have one Down Under.

Re: the clock

As long as he isnt into Oxford Street, they've got one of them too

Re: the clock

PS have a good holiday Simon.

Re: the clock

cheers chris - i think i need a break from mart!

Re: the clock

With all the building work going on at St Pancras we certainly have quite a few Poles about the place.

Most of them are rather large, hairy, seem to know a lot about ship building and have a striking resemblance to our old friends The Village People.

Any good ??

Re: the clock

what clock?

Re: the clock

This thread is temporarily closed until Sunday 28th October.

On that date we can then check that Hailsham Chris has remembered to wind up his watch and that Teddie is not hanging around outside any railway stations.

Re: the clock

td - wont we be 2 hours out on that day?

Re: the clock

I think, if memory serves, that real time goes back one hour on 28th. If Barney refrains from dabbling with SCCC time then we should be back on level terms.

Luckily I have a long weekend off then so, if I am wrong, I will have until the wednesday to discover the truth before being late for work.

I give no guarantee that my ailing brain has grasped the concept of BST and GMT, or even BSE and GMTV come to that, so I accept no responsibility for any inconvenience caused.

I am very worried about Teddie waiting for an extra hour outside the station in the cold though.

I am also concerned that HC may have had to replace his watch after his recent bumper car exploits and he will have no input into this serious situation.

Re: the clock

Maybe its diferent GT?!

Re: the clock

I hope your father doesn't let you at the G&T already Andrew

Re: the clock

I think Professor Barney has crossed the final frontier and solved the Sussex v Rest of the World time differential for us Sweaty, we should be safe for the next few months now.

I just await the report from our resident messageboarder in deepest Hailsham ........
