People moan about the treatment of our spinners, so quick question. Does anyone remember Max Waller?
Yes I do but quite a long time ago Silas. Would I be right in thinking he had some connection with Surrey?

Ump, maybe you are thinking of Chris Waller.
Not just us caught up in the OS player farce.
Pathetic rules about o/s players.
10 days... how utterly, absurdly arbitrary
Silas - They have two young leg spinners in Max Waller and Michael Munday and I suspect one of them probably Munday will be released at the end of the season.
Breaking News.................
Surrey have offered Raoul Moat £150,000 per season contract.
Chris Adams, director of cricket said, "Everyone else is after him, so he must be good, we want him to captain the club next season, taking over from RHB"
I think Chris Adams and RHB might well end up in Arundel Castle Moat on Sunday - as their T20 dream finally bites the dust along with CA and RHB!

Let's hope after Sunday the Taxi for Adams is waiting to take him home.

Looks like Moat was a true cricket fan. Rather kill himself than join Surrey.
Ok I am stumped !! Middx played 3 Os players yesterday . Warner and O'Brien plus Henderson . ECB shows all 3 as OS . O'Brien has an english wife so may now be non OS !!
Henderson was a Kolpak for the last 2years . Is he now ?. How come he has a work permit
when he has not played Ints not been here 4 seasons so unless he has aUk wife according to the rules he shoud not get a work permit.
I think Henderson must have an english wife !
Any ideas Sharkey ?
I can answer myself . Playfair shows he played at Kent 2006 and Middx 2008 and 2009
but he played for Middx in 2007 so he has had awork permit for the last 4 years and thus can continue as a Kolpak

Henderson is now a British citizen. He qualifiud by residence I think
He has to have spent 9 months a year here for 5years to qualify by residence which he clearly has not done as he is spends winters in Sa and India. Only Claude Henderson has done the 'time' . I assume Tyron's wife has a uk passport.
just another example of the farce called Kolpak .
Ah. Im talking about the wrong Henderson.
Dickie Henderson
HC showing his age , yes I am older than you.
Kim,Did wonder whether you were thinking of Claude
O'Brien has been playing as a local player for Middlesex all season I think. He gave up on NZ for a county contract because his wife is English
daveshark - it says here that Middx signed O'Brien as an overseas player for this season - maybe hoping to register as a local player in future :
Not a particularly interesting piece of news. I was more taken with what the reporters parents were thinking when they called him Paul.
Confirmation Morgan will be playing next week. Also an interesting story about Sidearse, two injury prone seasons at Surrey?
"At 32, Sidebottom’s international career would appear to be on the wane. Though he has been part of England’s Test, one-day and Twenty20 squads this season, his last international appearance came in the World Twenty20 final in May."
He bowled well at the World Cup. Surely he will be very much in England's minds for the 20-20. He's only 32 and only has to bowl 4 overs.
Irish spinner George Dockerill signs for Somerset on a two year contract which would appear to spell the end for Michael Munday or Max Waller.
