Topic: Sussex vs Durham, May 11th FPT, Hove

Right, after a fantastic win today at home to Surrey, the boys face some northern lads on Monday.

I can't imagine a side different to today, any niggles picked up? Was the squad for today also for tomorrow?

Set to be my first game at Hove this season, which shall be nice. A day off is very much needed and what better way than to relax than watching the lads with a pint or four in hand?

I imagine there must be some doubt over Muzza, as he seemed to limp off - not sure who best to replace him as we would seem to have a choice of Hoppo, Nash or Hodd - but lets hope Muzza is ok

Wasn't there to see Muzza's injury, or was it just a slight niggle to get Hoppo on the field :shock:

I have just checked the BBC Cricket site to set up the commentary and see that the sussex match is not listed (yet?)

Does anyone know if their will be BBC internet commentary today?

Graem I think there should be internet radio - its a noon start I think (though cricinfo is showing 14:30 !), so I expect they'll put a link up eventually.

thanks 3rders, the beeb have put one 12 noon start up already. I know that BBC Sussex have not committed themselves to covering every List A game, I thought BBC Durham had.  I fear the worst.

Which will probably mean a few more posters on here...  escpecially when cricinfo or similar decides to 'go down'...

It was sold as a noon start yesterday - I know next week (Yorkshire) is a bonkers 10:45 start. Incidentally, it transpires that for the FTP you can take the four beers/bottle of wine, whcih it doesn't really explain on the website. Hope to be there by fourish and to have a more relaxed time than yesterday!

I have emailed the bloke at BBC Wear who usually covers the cricket to tell him that we cant hear him and why.

If he's in the box then hopefully he can do something.

However, I am starting to think that there isn't any commentary today.

re. Muzzas injury: I've no inside information but it appeared to me that he tweaked a muscle (possible hammy or quad) scampering into the crease towards the end of his superb innings. He then seemed to aggravate this fielding on the boundary and was soon replaced by Hoppo - who really upped the tempo in the field  smile

This is the same pitch as yesterday where we squeezed a 2 run win against a poor Surrey without Ramps and Nel.

Quite what the par is today is of course uncertain,but wickets will be hard to get.

yesterday after 14 we were 81-2.Today we are 67-0
