Congratulations Lewis!

Good to see Robbo acting fast before any other counties start sniffing round!
..and I think you'll agree Ali...a fair schlong evident in that pic too! ![]()
Great for lewis who has really worked at his game and set the example to the other young lads congratulations to him, and robbo get him signed up.
Robbo has said he will be offered a contract. He also said we can't expect too much from the lad so one or two more senior seamers are required, as we expected. We could really do with having a look in the firsts at Rollings and Adkin too. Thorpe may have to wait a bit.
I don't understand why everyone is on about the big lad Rollings so much, it sounds like he's a way off the level of Hatchett, Adkin or Thorpe. He went the distance in the 2's today and I think he's more of a longer term project.
Keen to see a bit more of Adkin and Thorpe though.
I think in terms of being ready for regular first team action I would say it is:
1) Adkin
2) Thorpe (who took 3-21 for England Under 19 today)
3) Rollings
Are the other two a little tied up with Uni, unlike Rollings?

Adkin has one more year at Uni and Thorpe two. If I had a question mark over Rollings it would over his consistency and fitness. If you look at his bowling figures in the Sussex League over the past two / three years compared to Adkin and Thorpe his record is worse. Although in 2XI Rollings has taken 19 wickets compared to Thorpe 14 and Adkin 13.
i see Thorpe did well for England u-19 v Sri Lanka today
