Topic: Eastbourne and Brighton poorest wickets in Sussex League

Umpires were asked to give marks for each of the pitch in the Sussex League and Brighton and Eastbourne received the lowest marks. I can't see I'm too surprised as both grounds have POOR batting wickets. This makes it all the more remarkable Luke Wells and Matt Machan finished the top Premier League run scorers. Cuckfield, which I thought was a very good batting wicket surprisingly came third bottom while Horsham was voted the best pitch.

Alan Wells scored 94* against Hastings in their winning draw on Sat. Yesterday Eb beat the Sussex Dev't XI with Ed Giddins playing both games. Earlier this season a young Eb player who had been with the club for years packed his bags mid game and walked out leaving Eastbourne with only 10 batters.

PS Willingdon beat Ebne on Larkins yesterday to retain the Robin Hanley trophy
