To be considered for either the 1st or 2nd XI teams of Sussex players must possess, or be entitled to, a European passport.

There are trials each year to which those deemed up to the necessary standard will be invited.
For those who do not qualify as above please note that Counties can employ two overseas players. These positions are filled by Mushtaq Ahmed and Rana Naved.
To qualify as a potential overseas player it is now a pre-requisite that an individual has played at International Level for a country on a consistent basis before a Work Permit is issued.
If you wish to be an overseas player for a league club then it would be advisable to contact these clubs direct.
