AUSSIES: Only a week until the Australian invasion at Hove19-Jul-2013
It’s now only a week to go until the Australian invasion comes to Hove as Sussex CCC prepare to take on the touring Australians, in a showpiece three-day fixture at The BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground, Hove.
The match, which is sponsored by OCS Group, the international facilities management company based here in Sussex, takes place from Friday 26th July until Sunday 28th July and with the tourists currently embroiled in another fascinating Ashes Test Match tussle at Lord’s, it is an eagerly anticipated affair at Hove.
With temperatures soaring on the South Coast, so too have ticket sales with only a handful of tickets left for Friday and Saturday, although there is a good availability left on Sunday, with Sussex Chief Executive Zac Toumazi quick to stress that the County are expecting three full days play.
Toumazi said, “The interest in this match has been overwhelming and we really can’t wait for it to arrive now. With the incredible Test Match at Trent Bridge, one of the best of all time, the anticipation of the Aussies’ visit to Hove has intensified.
“We’re fully expecting three days play in this match so hopefully those supporters who have not been able to get tickets for the first two days, or their preferred seat, will be able to try the full experience on Sunday”.
The rivalry between the County and Australia, who last faced each other in 2009, stepped up a gear this week when Sussex’s infamous mascot Sid the Shark picked a fight with a Kangaroo before the LV=County Championship match with Middlesex!
