Head of Cricket Development Tim Shutt outlined the summer cricket programme which had been heavily disrupted by poor weather. National success had been achieved by several groups including Brighton College Girls and the Visually Impaired Squad. Other groups had also been successful in reaching the latter stages of National Competitions.

The Area Cricket programme had also been badly hit by inclement weather but successful conclusions had been reached with the valuable guidance of voluntary staff.

The Inter-School and Inter-Club successes showed a widespread involvement in competitive youth cricket as well as within the Sussex Cricket in the Community programme and he highlighted street cricket being played on a regular basis in an underground car park.

Cricket Performance Manager Keith Greenfield outlined the strength of the Age Group Squads this season with the Under 15’s particularly strong.
