AWARDS: Sussex CCC scoop gong at Sussex Business Awards07-Dec-2012
There was success at the Sussex Business Awards 2012 lastnight for Sussex County Cricket Club, as they walked away with the award for ‘The Best Place for Business Entertaining’, at the ceremony held at the South Lodge Hotel, near Horsham.
This fantastic achievement in this category is great testament to the quality food based offering that Sussex continue to provide in a very competitive market place.
Celebrating business excellence, the Sussex Business Awards is the longest established scheme of its kind in the County, with companies from across Sussex submitting their entries across fifteen different categories.
With the major redevelopment that The PROBIZ County Ground, Hove, has undergone over the past two years, the 1839 Hospitality & Events Team has much more scope than in previous years to host various events, seminars, conferences, dinners and exhibitions 365 days a year.
Catering and Hospitality Manager Kevin Berry paid tribute to many different areas of the Club by saying,
“This award is a real team effort and with the £8m ground redevelopment playing a major part, praise must go to the Board for their vision and the Project Team for putting the plans into place. It is also for the Commercial Team and the whole of the Catering Department here at the Club.
“Hopefully we can use this achievement as a springboard to further success. After many years of winning trophies on the pitch, it is fantastic to also win one off it”.
