BOCA: Sussex's CEO Zac Toumazi scoops ECB Special Award

Sussex’s outgoing Chief Executive Zac Toumazi won the ECB Special Award this week at the annual Business of Cricket Awards, held at Lord’s.

The ECB Special Award recognises outstanding individual contributions to the growth of cricket. Zac has given 12 years of service to the game, after holding commercial roles at both Hampshire and Surrey before becoming Chief Executive at Sussex in early 2013.

Zac’s achievements at Sussex have included leading the integration of professional, recreational and community cricket into a new organisation, Sussex Cricket Limited, which was officially recognised by Chief Operating Officer at the ECB Gordon Hollins who presented the award.

Sussex Chairman Jim May said “We are all delighted that Zac's outstanding contribution to cricket, working for three counties, has been recognised nationally. When he moves on from Sussex at the end of this year he will have left his mark and gained many friends.”

Congratulations Zac. We are all very proud of you!
