COUNTY CAP: Jofra Archer receives County Cap during Sussex's match with Nottinghamshire

Sussex’s Jofra Archer today received his County cap, number 144, during the lunch interval of Day Three of the Specsavers County Championship clash with Nottinghamshire, at The 1st Central County Ground, Hove.

Archer who made his debut for Sussex against Pakistan during the 2016 season has burst onto the scene and quickly become an integral part of the squad leading the bowling attack along with England International, Chris Jordan.

Since making his debut the 22 year-old has taken 131 wickets at an average of 25.65 and scored 1038 runs at an average of 31.45 across all formats. In addition to this he became the first Sussex player since Vasbert Drakes to do the modern double, taking 50 wickets and scoring 500 runs in a County Championship season.
