Sussex staff, Board members and players will once again head out to the local clubs as part of Natwest Cricket Force 2012.

09th March 2012

NatWest CricketForce is a fantastic event and encourages cricket supporters, their friends and families to give back to their local cricket club by volunteering to undertake renovation work in club houses and grounds, typically over a specific weekend before the season starts. Now in its 11th year, it is expected that over 2000 clubs will take part nationwide, with over 60 in Sussex.

On Saturday 17th March, Sussex's Professionals will head to all parts of the county including West Wittering CC, Roffey CC, Barcombe, Madehurst CC, Three Bridges CC and St.James Montefiore CC.

St.James's will be the showcase project over the weekend and will use the event to open their newly extended pavilion. The club has grown significantly in terms of participation over recent years, including a the launch of a Women and Girls section.  The club have received a substantial grant from the ECB towards their pavilion development.

There will be a second showcase event over the weekend of March 31st where a Sussex party will visit Chippingdale CC (Worthing) and will mark the opening of the new outdoor net facility.
