06th January 2012
Afinis brings together the combined expertise of present SCCC partners The Pinnacle Group and Pleece&Co. Pinnacle produce the club's corporate literature, member's magazines, festival magazines and match programmes whilst Pleece&Co have been Sussex's creative and marketing partner for the past 4 years.
Afinis are currently working with Surrey CCC and Leicestershire CCC on their marketing and members’ magazines. They are also designing marketing collateral for The Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy, who are hosts to the 2012 Olympic Sailing, as well as over 150 golf clubs and yacht clubs nationwide with many now requesting specialist support in their digital marketing, particularly social media and email.
Afinis MD, Alan Prior said: “Afinis are absolutely delighted to be sponsoring Sussex CCC in this exciting tournament in the Caribbean. We enjoy a successful relationship with the club and we hope this will be the first of many opportunities for us to be involved in sponsoring high profile competitions”.
They will be Sussex’s main sponsor for the trip and will have their logo emblazoned across the front of the shirt, with their invaluable support helping make the Caribbean T20 trip possible for Sussex.
Chief Executive of Sussex Cricket Dave Brooks said, “Gary Pleece and Alan Prior have supported the Club for a number of years and we are delighted that they have increased that with their new AFINIS venture. Their support has helped make this trip possible and we share their desire to see the association grow in future years”.
Sussex will fly out this weekend to Antigua where they will prepare to take on the Netherlands at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in their first Group B encounter on Tuesday, before subsequent clashes against Jamaica and Combined Campuses and Colleges.
They will then complete the group games on Wednesday 18th January in Barbados where they will face the islanders themselves. The semi-finals and finals will take place over the weekend of the 21st/22nd should the Sharks progress in the tournament.
