Sussex CCC have announced that young all-rounder Harry Finch has been awarded a new two-year contract following his first season as a Junior Professional at The County Ground, Hove.

The Hastings-born 18-year old is a product of Sussex’s Age Group and Academy system, and made both his first-class and List A debuts in 2013, against Durham and the Netherlands respectively.

Finch has also been a regular in the England Under-19’s setup over the past twelve months and has recently been selected for the Under-19 tour of the UAE in which England will play a tri-series with Pakistan and the UAE during December.

Finch said of his new deal, “Obviously I’m thrilled to be awarded the contract and I’ve been working towards this for a few years now. But I know it is only the beginning and there is a lot of hard work to be done in the future.

“It has been pleasing to make my first-team debuts and it has been a really good experience. It has been a big learning curve and I’ve got so much from it.”

Sussex’s Professional Cricket Manager Mark Robinson said, “It is always an exciting time when you offer a young player his first contract. Harry has everything infront of him and we look forward to seeing him fulfil his potential.”
