HIGHLIGHTS: Sussex Sharks vs Glamorgan in the NatWest T20 Blast

Sussex Sharks put in a commanding NatWest T20 Blast performance with the ball at The 1st Central County Ground, but eventually the rained ruined their chances of victory over Glamorgan and with it, any hopes of qualifiying for the quarter-finals.

George Garton, in only his second T20 appearance, and in a week when he starred for the England Lions, took figures of 4 for 16 as the Sharks bowled out Glamorgan for only 101 in a match that had already been reduced to 14 overs per side to earlier rainfall.

But after Sussex had reached 30 for 1 from four overs, the rain returned and even after a brief restart in play which only saw one ball bowled, the minimum number of overs in the second innings to constitute a match had not been bowled and the match was deemed as 'No Result'.

Only three Glamorgan batsmen reached double-figures as Garton, along with Tymal Mills (2 for 14) and Chris Jordan (2 for 16) did the main damage with the ball, and were well backed up by Jofra Archer (1 for 34) and Will Beer (1 for 18), and indeed some sharp fielding and catching, which saw Matt Machan pouche five chances in the outfield.

The visitors didn't manage to bat their overs and the target looked attainable for the Sharks until rain deemed no further play possible after 4.1 overs.
