HOWZAT!: Eastbourne CC receive cheque at The PROBIZ06-Aug-2012
There was a special presentation before play last week as youngsters from Eastbourne Cricket Club received a £1,000 grant for their club from Clydesdale Bank’s Howzat scheme, and Sussex’s Ben Brown was on hand to make the presentation.
Eastbourne are the recipients of a £1,000 grant towards their club and local community scheme supplied by Clydesdale Bank, who are of course the sponsors of the CB40 competition.
‘The Howzat! campaign is giving away twenty £1,000 grants to cricket clubs and community schemes this summer. Six have already been awarded (of which Eastbourne was one), but clubs can enter simply by uploading a video of their best ‘Howzat’ appeal to www.facebook.com/ClydesdaleBankCricket. The judging panel, which includes Clydesdale Bank Ambassadors Alastair Cook, Alec Stewart and Paul Collingwood, are looking for the most unique, creative and enthusiastic appeals!’
Brown, plays for Eastbourne in the Sussex Premier League when not on Sussex duty, presented the cheque to players from their youth section before Day Three of the LV=County Championship match with Worcestershire on Friday.
