KSL: Up to seven Sussex players on show at showpiece Finals Day

Linsey Smith is one of six Sussex players in the Vipers squad

As many as seven Sussex players could appear in Friday’s Kia Super League Final Day at The 1st Central County Ground, Hove.

Six of those are on the Southern Vipers’ roster. The Vipers – looking to defend their title - have qualified directly for Friday evening’s floodlit final after topping the qualifying group.

Sussex and England batsman, Danni Wyatt, played important innings for the Vipers in their wins against Lancashire Thunder and Loughborough Lightning.

Bowler, Linsey Smith, who joined Sussex at the start of the season put in a fantastic bowling performance of 3-16 in the match against the Thunder.

Georgia Adams, Izzy Collis and Tara Norris have also appeared for the Vipers in this year’s tournament, with 19-year-old Ellen Burt ready to play if needed.

Western Storm fast-bowler Freya Davies is the sole Sussex representative amongst the two semi-finalists. This should make it easy for Sussex supporters to choose who to support in the first game of the day, when the Storm take on Surrey Stars.

Davies has played in all five of Western Storm’s group games, taking four wickets.

Two fantastic games of T20 cricket , as well as plenty of entertainment off the field will make Finals Day a perfect end to the summer holidays.

Tickets are available online HERE until 11:59pm on Thursday and on the gate on Friday. Adult tickets are priced at just £5, with kids getting in for just £1. Family of four tickets are available for £10.

Gates open at 12:45 pm, with the semi-final getting underway at 2.15pm and the final following from 6.00pm.
