MACHAN: Century for Scotland in Kenya victory01-Jul-2013
Sussex’s Matt Machan hit his first One-Day International century as he led his Scotland to victory over Kenya in their match at Aberdeen yesterday.
Machan hit his maiden ODI century as the Scots moved up to third in the ICC World Cricket League Championship. His 100 came from only 101 balls and when he was finally snared by Tanmay Mishra, he had scored 114 from 111 balls having hit nine fours and three sixes.
He also showed his all-round credentials as he claimed figures of 3 for 31 in seven overs as Kenya, who included former Sussex recruit Ragheb Aga amongst their ranks, fell 12 runs short of their total.
