NEWS: Sussex seeks new Honorary Treasurer10-Jun-2014
Sussex County Cricket Club is advertising for applicants for the position of Honorary Treasurer to take over from Simon Crundwell, who has recently been appointed Chair of the Estates Committee.
Jim May, Sussex Chairman, said “Simon Crundwell has carried out the role of Honorary Treasurer with distinction for over five years and is now moving on to oversee the next phase of the development of The BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground. During his period in office we have redeveloped the ground at Hove and grown our non-match income by some 25% per year.
“Sussex Cricket is in good shape but there is much work to do. We have a clear plan to improve our business model to ensure financial sustainability to enable us to invest in cricket. In addition, the Honorary Treasurer will be a key person as we move forward with our plans to integrate the professional and recreational governing bodies to form Sussex Cricket in November 2015.
“The Honorary Treasurer will be a non-executive director of the Board and Chair of the Audit Committee. The role, like other non-executive directors of Sussex CCC, is a voluntary one. This is a great opportunity for the Club to seek fresh talent to strengthen our Board.”
Applications for the role of Honorary Treasurer have to be made by Thursday 26th June 2014 and for further information regarding the person specification and job description, please visit the Sussex County Cricket Club website HERE
