PREVIEW: Big night ahead at Hove as NatWest T20 Blast arrives

Sussex Sharks welcome back Luke Wright to the squad for tomorrow’s first home NatWest T20 Blast clash

Sussex Sharks welcome the NatWest T20 Blast to The 1st Central County Ground for the first time this season tomorrow, when they take on Somerset under the floodlights at Hove (6.30pm).

The Sharks began their NatWest T20 Blast campaign a week last Friday with victory over Gloucestershire at Bristol under the Duckworth/Lewis method. New Zealand star Ross Taylor struck a mouthwatering unbeaten 93 from 48 balls, whilst Ben Brown hit 43 from 25 deliveries.

The early victory in the competition has got the Sharks off and running in the South Group, and they welcome a Somerset side who have been beaten on their previous two visits to Hove.

Sussex can welcome back skipper Luke Wright to the squad who has missed the start of the 2016 season with a back problem, and he looks set to captain the side tomorrow evening.

Chris Jordan has returned from the Indian Premier League and is also included whilst South African all-rounder David Wiese, who has signed a short-team deal with Sussex to cover for Mustafizur Rahman, will make his debut if selected.

Somerset can include a plethora of stars themselves for this televised encounter, with Chris Gayle and former Sussex players Mahela Jayawardena and Yasir Arafat in their squad.

RAF Careers Brighton are the Match Sponsor for tomorrow’s encounter, and we thank them for all their support.
