PREVIEW: Derby Weekend at Hove as Sharks welcome the Royals05-Jul-2013
Sussex Sharks return to The BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground this evening following two matches on the road in the Friends Life t20, and they will be looking to overturn the Hampshire Royals in the ‘Derby Weekend’ clash tonight (7.10pm start).
The Sharks will be aiming to leapfrog the Royals in the South Group table with victory tonight, as the holders are currently one point ahead in the standings, and it will be the last Twenty20 action for the Sharks for a week before the return derby match takes place at the Ageas Bowl next Friday.
Luke Wright is currently leading the way in the run stakes for Sussex so far whilst Michael Yardy has claimed the most scalps and both are set to be in action this evening at Hove, however Matt Prior is currently with the England squad as they prepare for the Ashes series. Ed Joyce is with Ireland for their ICC World Cricket League matches against the Netherlands so Chris Nash continues to skipper the side.
The Sussex squad is as follows:
BC Brown (wkt)
CD Nash (capt)
