PREVIEW: Final home encounter of the summer as Sussex welcome Worcestershire

Chris Jordan returns to the squad for Sussex

The 1st Central County Ground hosts its final action of the summer this week, as Sussex welcome Worcestershire in the Specsavers County Championship from tomorrow (10.30am start).

Sussex have another game remaining after this one, a trip to Bristol to face Gloucestershire, and currently sit in third position in the table, with the chance to go second with victory over the Pears.

Last week saw Sussex claim their most comfortable victory of the season, beating Leicestershire inside two days at Grace Road, making it three wins out of four matches in the Championship. Steve Magoffin and Jofra Archer both took seven wickets in the match and the former now only needs one more wicket to reach 50 victims this season, for the fifth season running.

Sussex have a good recent record against Worcestershire, winning four and drawing two of their last six meetings and they can welcome back Chris Jordan to the squad following his involvement with the England ODI and T20 squads.

However, the injury list remains the same for Sussex who are unable to call upon their captain Luke Wright who continues to recover from an arm injury so Ben Brown will skipper the side once again.

The Sussex squad is as follows:

Jofra Archer
Danny Briggs
Ben Brown (c/wkt)
Craig Cachopa
Fynn Hudson-Prentice
Chris Jordan
Ed Joyce
Steve Magoffin
Chris Nash
Ollie Robinson
Abi Sakande
Phil Salt
Luke Wells
David Wiese
