PREVIEW: LV=County Championship action returns to Hove

LV=County Championship action returns to The County Ground, Hove tomorrow when Sussex entertain the reigning Division One champions Warwickshire (11.00am start).

Sussex began their Championship campaign comfortably beating newly-promoted Yorkshire at Headingley before drawing with neighbours Surrey at The Kia Oval last week. Luke Wells made his highest first-class score in the match with a knock of 208, whilst Chris Jordan continued his fantastic start to his Sussex career with figures of 5 for 92 in the first innings.

The squad is unchanged which means the hosts can again include England wicketkeeper-batsman Matt Prior in their squad, who returned to Sussex action this season with a quickfire 62 against Surrey.

Warwickshire’s strong line-up is boosted by the return of fellow England stars Ian Bell and Jonathan Trott, whilst former Sussex recruit Tim Ambrose will keep wicket.

The Greene King Beer Festival begins tomorrow at Hove and runs all week at the Cromwell Road End of the ground, with over 20 ales on offer. The event is open to members and ticket-holders alike.

The Sussex squad is as follows:

JE Anyon
BC Brown
RJ Hamilton-Brown
CJ Jordan
EC Joyce (capt)
SJ Magoffin
AS Miller
CD Nash
MS Panesar
MJ Prior
LWP Wells
MH Yardy
