PREVIEW: NatWest T20 Blast arrives at Arundel Castle

Ross Taylor returns to the squad to face Gloucestershire at Arundel today

Sussex Sharks complete the Arundel Festival of Cricket, presented by Irwin Mitchell, today when they take on Gloucestershire in the NatWest T20 Blast at Arundel Castle (2.30pm start).

The Sharks have had to be content with a point from each of their last two matches in the competition, the trips to Middlesex and Hampshire, as both games were abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Sussex sit fourth in the South Group table currently, with eight points from their six matches and they will be looking to consolidate their position in the top four and with their eyes firmly on a spot in the quarter-finals.

Ross Taylor returns to the squad after missing this week’s Specsavers County Championship match with Northamptonshire with a hamstring injury, but Chris Jordan remains unavailable due to England’s ODI series with Sri Lanka.

The Sharks have won three on the bounce against Gloucestershire in this competition and it will be the second time the Bristol outfit have played in the NatWest T20 Blast at Arundel, losing to Sussex by six wickets in 2011.

There are tickets available on the gate at Arundel Castle but supporters are asked to arrive early. Gates open at 1.00pm. For more information about Arundel and ticket availability, please click HERE

The Sussex squad is as follows:

Will Beer
Danny Briggs
Ben Brown (wkt)
Craig Cachopa
Harry Finch
George Garton
Matt Machan
Tymal Mills
Chris Nash
Phil Salt
Ajmal Shahzad
