PREVIEW: Sharks aiming to topple group leaders at Trent Bridge21-Jun-2013
Sussex Sharks are in Yorkshire Bank 40 action for the second time in three days this evening, when they travel to Trent Bridge to take on Nottinghamshire Outlaws, in a televised floodlit clash (4.10pm start).
The Sharks were involved in a thrilling affair on Wednesday when they were edged out by Kent Spitfires at Canterbury. Luke Wright hit a stunning century from only 54 balls but despite Sussex totalling 336 for 5 from their 40 overs, the hosts got over the line with nine balls to spare.
They will be hoping to improve their points tally before the Friends Life t20 begins, whilst Nottinghamshire are top of the Group A table having won all of their seven matches so far.
Matthew Hobden, who has signed a Junior Professional Contract, boosts the seam bowling options for tonight along with Andy Miller, whilst Michael Yardy is rested for this match ahead of the LV=County Championship game that begins on Saturday.
The Sussex squad is as follows:
BC Brown (wkt)
EC Joyce (capt)
