PREVIEW: Sussex go Dutch on Netherlands trip19-May-2013
Sussex continue their Yorkshire Bank 40 campaign on Monday as they travel to Rotterdam to take on the Netherlands, in a match that begins at 11.00am (BST) at the Sportpark Thurlede in Schiedam.
The Sharks last visited the Netherlands in 2011 when they beat the Dutch by 148 runs at the VRA Ground in Amstelveen, as a Chris Nash century and a Chris Liddle five-for helped them along that day.
Having played three games so far this term, Sussex sit handily placed in third spot in Group A whilst the Netherlands were beaten by Kent Spitfires in their only match in the tournament so far this year.
Sussex have named a 13-man squad for the overseas trip which includes Michael Rippon, who played for the Netherlands in their ICC tournaments in April. Harry Finch would make his competitive debut for Sussex if selected.
Matt Machan returns from international duty with Scotland but James Anyon and Chris Jordan are both rested for this trip, so Lewis Hatchett and Andy Miller boost the seam bowling options.
The Sussex squad is as follows:
BC Brown (wkt)
EC Joyce (capt)
