PREVIEW: Sussex head to Lord’s as NatWest T20 Blast continues

Sussex Sharks will hope to make it two out of two in the NatWest T20 Blast when they take on Middlesex Panthers at Lord's today (4.00pm start).

It was a dramatic evening at Hove lastnight with Sussex hitting 16 from the final over to beat Surrey. After a Luke Wright half-century earlier in the innings had propelled the Sharks to within reach of the stiff target of 172, Yasir Arafat hit the final two Jade Dernbach balls for four to seal a breathtaking victory.

Team news today sees Chris Nash miss out due to the injury he picked up in the final overs of lastnight's game, and is replaced in the squad by Luke Wells. Ashar Zaidi and Luke Wright will be assessed pre-match as they look to shake off niggles.

Seamer Lewis Hatchett is recovering from injury but could be in line to face the Sri Lankans tomorrow at Hove. Matt Prior remains unavailable due to his achilles injury.

The Sussex squad is as follows:

WAT Beer
BC Brown (wkt)
RJ Hamilton-Brown
EC Joyce (capt)
CJ Jordan
CJ Liddle
MW Machan
SA Piolet
LWP Wells
LJ Wright
MH Yardy
Yasir Arafat
SAA Zaidi
