PREVIEW: Sussex welcome back Jordan for Kent clash

Sussex Sharks face neighbours Kent Spitfires at The County Ground this evening, as they remain on the hunt for a NatWest T20 Blast quarter-final berth (7.00pm start).

The Sharks lie three points shy of fourth place in the South Group table, which is the final spot for a quarter-final place and they will be looking to press their claims for progressing in the competition in this televised encounter.

It promises to be a fantastic atmosphere at Hove with a near sell-out crowd and supporters encouraged to create a ‘Sea Of Blue’ to make the ground look a picture and get behind the Sharks.

Sussex can welcome back Chris Jordan to the squad following his exploits with England. He will boost the bowling options available at Hove as Jimmy Anyon and Jon Lewis both remain sidelined.

Batsman Craig Cachopa, who has spent the last two months on trial with the Second Eleven, is included in the squad and could make his debut if selected.

Chris Nash continues to captain the side with Ed Joyce unavailable due to his hamstring problem, whilst Rory Hamilton-Brown misses out with a wrist injury. Michael Yardy remains a long-term absentee and Matt Prior is away on England duty.

The Sussex squad is as follows:

WAT Beer
BC Brown (wkt)
C Cachopa
HZ Finch
LJ Hatchett
CJ Liddle
CJ Jordan
MW Machan
CD Nash (capt)
SA Piolet
LWP Wells
LJ Wright
Yasir Arafat
SAA Zaidi
