PREVIEW: Sussex welcome Durham to Hove as Championship continues10-May-2014
Sussex return to The BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground this weekend as they welcome Durham for the LV=County Championship clash that begins on Sunday (11.00am start).
After being thwarted by the rain in their attempt for victory over Lancashire at the Emirates Old Trafford on Wednesday, Sussex will be on the hunt for their third win of the season when they entertain the reigning County Champions.
Michael Yardy struck his first century of the season in the first innings at Manchester as he hit 139, whilst Steve Magoffin was the pick of the Sussex bowlers taking 4 for 36 in the hosts’ first innings.
Skipper Ed Joyce returns to captain the side this weekend after he missed the Lancashire game due to international duty with Ireland. Chris Jordan is rested at the request of England whilst Matt Prior remains unavailable due to his achilles injury.
Young seamer Matthew Hobden is continuing his rehabilitation from injury but not yet available for selection.
The Sussex squad is as follows:
