REPORT: Sussex take the upper hand at Arundel20-Jul-2012
Sussex took control on the second day of their LV=County Championship Division One clash with Durham at Arundel.
Having resumed on 92 for four following a rain-affected opening day, Durham were indebted to Scott Borthwick's 50 as they eventually stumbled to 231 all out.
Hopes of a fightback were then raised, however, as Callum Thorp claimed wickets after Chris Rushworth had struck to leave Sussex 59 for three.
But Mike Yardy, unbeaten on 29, then batted through to the close alongside Murray Goodwin to leave the hosts 100 for three at the close.
