SCHOOLS: St Bede's in National T20 Finals Day at Arundel27-Jun-2012
St Bede's School from Upper Dicker near Hailsham have qualified for the National Schools T20 Finals Day tomorrow, and three Sussex Academy players will be in the team.
Fynn Hudson-Prentice, Elliott Hooper and Callum Jackson (pictured) will all be playing at Finals Day which takes place at the Arundel Castle Ground tomorrow, with Sussex supporters welcome to attend.
The teams taking part are West of England regional winners Millfield, Midlands winners Shrewsbury and North Winners Sedbergh.
St Bede's qualified as the South region winners when the beat Whitgift on Monday by 8 wickets, with Hooper taking five wickets and Jackson scoring 42.
Timings as follows for Arundel on Thursday:
10am Semi 1: St Bede’s v Sedbergh
1pm Semi 2: Millfield v Shrewsbury
4pm: National Final
Don’t forget also that the Second XI t20 Finals Day has been rearranged for this Saturday 30th June at Arundel Castle, as Sussex's Second Eleven aim to defend their title which they won last year.
Teams also representing Essex, Worcestershire and England Under-19s were set to do battle at Arundel on Friday 15th June, only for the inclement weather to force a change in date.
Arundel will still play host to the showpiece. The semi-finals, which see Worcestershire take on England U19 before Essex play Sussex, are scheduled to start at 10:30am and 1:45pm, with the final taking place at 5:15pm. Entrance is FREE for any supporters wishing to go along.
