SCS: Next evening meeting for Sussex Cricket Society


The Sussex Cricket Society will be holding their next evening meeting on Wednesday 11th March 2015 when former Derbyshire player Tony Borrington will be the guest speaker at The BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground, Hove.

Tony played for Derbyshire CCC between 1970 and 1981, representing the County in 272 matches and scoring over 7000 runs in all forms of the game. His highest Championship score was the 137 he hit against Yorkshire at Sheffield, whilst across his career he received four Man of the Match medals in the Benson and Hedges Cup and played in a Lord's Final.

After cricket, he followed a career in education and became Headmaster of a School in Leicestershire. Tony has been a member of the Derbyshire Commitee as Cricket Adviser and I am currently an Honorary Life Member and Vice President of the Club.
