SECOND ELEVEN: All to play for as friendly continues at Blackstone


Lewis Hatchett claimed two wickets as Lancashire batted again at Blackstone

Sussex’s Second Eleven go into the final day of their three-day friendly with Lancashire 186 runs behind after declaring on 306 for 9 at The Sutton Winson Academy Ground, Blackstone today.

The hosts resumed on 21 for 1 this morning and thanks to a century from trialist Nathan Waller, who hit 108 from only 109 balls down the order in a knock that included 13 fours and four sixes, Sussex moved past 300.

Fynn Hudson-Prentice hit a half-century batting at number six whilst there were contributions from Phil Salt (26), Callum Jackson (27) and Will Beer (22) further up the order.

Lancashire then closed the day on 91 for 2, 186 runs behind Sussex as left-arm seamer Lewis Hatchett claimed both wickets. Play resumes at Blackstone at 11.00am on Wednesday and entrance is once again FREE. Click HERE for directions to The Sutton Winson Academy Ground.
