SECOND ELEVEN: Championship match ends in a draw


Matthew Hobden took four wickets as Sussex’s Second Eleven Championship match with Middlesex ended in a draw at Hove today.

After Sussex declared on their massive total of 525 for 8, 181 runs ahead of their visitors, Middlesex reached 267 for 5 from 78 overs on the third day as Hobden starred with figures of 4 for 53 from his 16 overs. Will Beer took the other scalp.

The Second Eleven are back in action tomorrow at Hove when they take on Middlesex again in the Second Eleven Trophy (50 overs).

Play begins at 11.00am and entrance is of course FREE
