SECOND ELEVEN: Jackson hits century as Sussex take upper hand at Hove


Callum Jackson struck a century for the Sussex Second Eleven as they took a lead of 108 runs into the third day of their four-day friendly match with Yorkshire at The County Ground.

After Sussex finished the visitors’ innings swiftly at the start of the second day, bowling Yorkshire out for 286, Sussex made 394 for 6 as opening batsman and skipper Jackson struck 105, a knock that included 19 fours.

Phil Salt boosted the total with a quickfire 56 from only 39 deliveries, including seven fours and four sixes, whilst Leo Cammish (58) and Peter Burgoyne (41) are unbeaten at the crease overnight.
