SECOND ELEVEN: Sussex ahead by 166 going into final day


Middlesex declared behind Sussex Second Eleven on Day Two of their Second Eleven Championship match at Radlett yesterday.

The hosts reached 293 for 7 before declaring as Andrew Miller (pictured), Will Beer and Joe Gatting all claimed two wickets apiece for Sussex. Adam London (90) and Adam Rossington (76) were the main contributors with the bat as Middlesex declared 25 runs behind Sussex.

With 42 overs remaining in the day Sussex reached 141 for 5 as Gatting top-scored with 40 whilst trialist Bilal Shafayat made 38 opening the batting with Matt Machan (22).
