SECOND ELEVEN: Sussex set Middlesex final day target

Sussex’s Second Eleven are 275 runs ahead of their Middlesex opponents as they begin the final day of their four-day friendly at The County Ground, Hove this morning.

The hosts were dismissed for 385 yesterday as skipper Matt Machan (pictured) led the way with a superb 106. He was joined amongst the runs by trialist Michael Comber who made 73 whilst academy prospect Fynn Hudson-Prentice also scored 60.

That set the visitors a target of 280 to win the game but Sussex picked up an early breakthrough before the close, as Andrew Miller claimed the wicket of Stephen Eskinazi for a duck, which sees Middlesex resume on 4 for 1 this morning.

Play resumes at 11.00am and entrance is FREE at Hove. To follow the game online and see a full scorecard via CricHQ please click HERE
