SECOND ELEVEN: Two wickets for Anyon on Day One in Hampshire


Bad light called halt to play on Day One of the Sussex Second Eleven’s Championship clash with Hampshire at the Ageas Bowl Nursery Ground yesterday, with the hosts closing the day on 261 for 5.

After Sussex won the toss and asked Hampshire to bat, it was Adam Rouse who led the way with an unbeaten 96. The wickets were shared for the visiting bowlers with Jimmy Anyon (pictured) claiming two, whilst Andy Miller, Abi Sakande and Michael Rippon all picked up a wicket apiece.
