STUMPS: Joyce and Wright lead Sussex fightback07-Jun-2013
Ed Joyce and Luke Wright mounted a determined fightback on day three at Lord’s to give Sussex hope of maintaining their unbeaten record in the LV=County Championship.
The pair put on an unbroken stand of 105 to prevent a heavy defeat after Sussex had slumped to 123 for 4 following on.
Wright had scored 77 in the morning as Sussex were bowled out in their first innings for 222 just before lunch, a deficit of 277.

Meanwhile at Horsham, Sussex's Second Eleven were beaten on the final day of their three-day friendly against Hampshire. The visitors reached their target of 204 with an over to spare for the loss of five wickets this afternoon after heavy rain had disrupted the morning session. Lewis Hatchett, Andrew Miller, Michael Rippon, Josh Hayward and Harry Finch all took a wicket for Sussex in the run chase but it wasn't enough to stop their neighbours grabbing victory.
