HIGHLIGHTS AND STUMPS: Sussex trio enjoy good day24-Jun-2013
Sussex trio Ed Joyce, Rory Hamilton-Brown and Chris Jordan each had sufficient reasons to enjoy the third day of their side's LV= County Championship Division One match against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.
Joyce moved on to an unbeaten 204 before declaring his team's first innings closed on 506 for five, while Hamilton-Brown celebrated his first Sussex hundred since September 2009 having returned to the club over the winter.
Their stand of 232, a new county fifth-wicket record against Nottinghamshire, was eventually broken when Hamilton-Brown, playing his 100th first-class innings, was caught down the leg side by Chris Read, giving Luke Fletcher his third victim of the innings.
Sussex paceman Jordan, the leading wicket-taker in Division One, then took his number of dismissals to 41 as he picked up the first four scalps to fall in the reply, as Nottinghamshire slumped to 106 for four before closing on 223 for six, still 283 runs adrift.
