WSW2017: Sussex support Women’s Sport Week 2017

19-Jun-2017

This week (19-25 June) is National Women’s Sport Week and Sussex Cricket are inviting all Women’s Sports Clubs across the county to show their support by coming together to celebrate the biggest event in Women’s domestic cricket this summer.

The Kia Super League Finals Day is coming to The 1st Central County Ground, Hove on Friday 1st September, and we’d love for you and everyone associated with your club to get involved.

The competition, which begins on Thursday 10th August, sees last year’s Champions the Southern Vipers, take on the Western Storm at the Ageas Bowl - LIVE on Sky Sports and you can follow the teams throughout the summer on BBC Radio Sussex, right up until the finals day here at Hove. Tickets are just £5 for adults and £1 for juniors, and you can purchase a family ticket (2 adults, 2 juniors) for just £10.

The competition’s hashtag is #ShowYourColours and we’re encouraging all local women’s sports clubs to come along in their team colours to enjoy the spectacle of the KSL Finals Day. It’s sure to be a packed ground, with a family friendly carnival atmosphere, with lots to see and do around the ground. So secure your tickets in time and don’t miss out on this great day out, celebrating the best of Women’s Sport.

Women’s Sport Week is a national awareness week providing an opportunity for everybody involved with playing, delivering, working in, volunteering or watching sport to celebrate, raise awareness and increase the profile of women’s sport across the UK.
